What we cover

  • Class 4–8 trucks, heavy-duty pickups, commercial equipment

  • Brake, suspension, and steering work
  • Preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
  • Roadside diagnostics and emergency repairs

How we handle it

When you call, you get Brennan. He'll ask about the truck (make, year, what it's doing), get a location, and give you a real arrival window — not a four-hour spread. We roll a fully-equipped service truck: scan tools for Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, Mack, and Caterpillar; the air, electrical, and brake tools you'd find in a brick-and-mortar shop; and the common-failure parts already on board. If the part isn't on the truck, we'll tell you what the wait is before we start. We work clean and pick up after ourselves. You see the bill before the wrench turns.

Parts & warranty

We supply OEM and quality aftermarket parts depending on what the job calls for and what you prefer. When we supply the parts, they carry our 1-year parts and labor warranty. If you bring your own, we'll install them — but the warranty is between you and whoever sold them to you. We don't mark parts up to industry-funny-money levels. The line item on the invoice matches what's printed on the box.

Frequently asked

How far do you travel for a roadside call?
75 miles from Russellville, KY. That covers Bowling Green, Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, Clarksville, Nashville, and the I-65 and I-24 corridors connecting them. Outside that radius we'll usually refer you to a shop closer to you — we won't bill you for a drive we can't justify.
What does on-site work cost compared to a shop visit?
About the same. We don't charge a roadside surcharge. The only premium is on after-hours calls, and we tell you that up front when you call. The trade-off is you don't burn a day waiting for a tow and a shop slot.
Can you do major engine work on-site?
Most of it, yes. Injectors, turbos, EGR coolers, water pumps, sensors, head gaskets in some cases — we handle them in your yard or at a truck stop. If it's a full overhaul or something that needs precision alignment off the chassis, we'll tell you it's a shop job.
What if you get there and the truck needs more than I expected?
We tell you what we found, what it'll cost, and what the options are. You decide before we start. We don't pile on parts to pad the bill.

  • “Brennan was great — absolutely hire this guy. I own a local tree company in Goodlettsville and one of my work trucks broke down at short notice. He was able to get there within a day or two and diagnose it. My turbo went out on one of my vehicles — when I went to the dealership they told me the wait time was forever and the process would include taking the cab off, which wouldn't work well with my current setup. Within one day he was able to replace my turbo and get it running so I could get back in business. The job was really labor-intensive but he made quick work of it and it runs even better than it did before. He's now the main guy I go to.”

  • “We've used Blacktop Mobile Repair twice this month, and both experiences have been nothing short of amazing. They run a top-notch operation, and it really shows in the quality of service and professionalism they provide. Jacob, the service tech, went above and beyond to make sure our truck was taken care of. He even drove out of his way to make sure he had the exact part needed to fix the truck and get us back on the road quickly. That level of dedication and commitment is hard to find. As a trucking company, downtime is costly, and having a team like Brennan and Jacob we can rely on makes all the difference.”

  • “I've used these guys in the past for an air compressor installation. Jacob was great. And recently my alternator quit on the weekend. I called Jacob on a Saturday and he helped me find one that I could pick up myself. Both times Jacob was knowledgeable & fair. A few months later — again on a Saturday — I wasn't even in their area and I called again to get troubleshooting advice. They are very good at diagnosing. Was able to pinpoint the trouble. Thanks again guys!”
